The Legends 2011B-A continued their strong Spring 2026 campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Elk Grove United on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
This match was originally scheduled for April, but stormy weather forced it to be postponed. When the teams finally met, the Legends had an added challenge: they were coming off a tough game the day before against Dixon Leon and had very little time to recover. Even with tired legs and a short rest, the Legends showed their character from the opening whistle.
Despite the fatigue, Legends controlled the match and dictated the pace throughout. Their effort was rewarded with three unanswered goals in a dominant performance that moved them one step closer to securing at least second place in the standings. With one game remaining, the Legends now sit in first place.
The path to the league title is still in front of them. If the Legends win their next match against third-place Sierra Surf, and second-place South Tahoe drops one of its final two games, the Legends will be crowned champions.
The final game of the Spring 2026 season will be on the road on Saturday, May 16, 2026. One more big performance, and this team could finish an outstanding season on top. Let’s hope for the best.
