The third time was the charm for Legends 2011B.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Legends earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Dixon Leon SC, finally breaking through after two difficult meetings earlier this season. The win was especially meaningful for Legends, who had fallen 3-0 in the first matchup and then suffered a heartbreaking State Cup quarterfinal loss in a penalty shootout in the second.
This latest result showed just how much the team has grown.
From the opening whistle, Legends played with confidence and determination, matching Dixon Leon’s intensity and refusing to back down. After coming up short twice before, Legends stayed composed and delivered when it mattered most. There is little time to celebrate, however, as Legends return to action on Wednesday, May 13, on short rest against Elk Grove United. The match is a rescheduled fixture that was originally postponed earlier in the season because of a storm, giving Legends another important test less than 24 hours after their big win.
It was a memorable night for Legends 2011B, not only because of the result, but because of the resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship the team showed from start to finish. After two disappointing results earlier in the season, Legends answered in the best possible way: with a win that could shape the rest of their campaign.
