The Legends U16 Boys delivered an impressive performance at the Capitol Cup in Sacramento on August 15 and 16, finishing the tournament as finalists.
Legends opened group play with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Roseville Youth SC. They followed that performance with a narrow 1–0 win against Sacramento United FC, then closed out the group stage with a convincing 2–0 victory over Capital Valley SC.
With three wins in three group-stage matches, Legends advanced to the final, where they faced Napa United SC. In a relentless and closely contested match, Napa United earned a 1–0 victory.
Although the final result did not go their way, reaching the Capitol Cup final is a significant achievement for the Legends U16 Boys. Their three group-stage wins, strong defensive performances, and determination throughout the tournament reflect the team’s continued growth and competitive spirit.
