Legends 2011B-A came away with split results over the weekend, earning an important win on Saturday before falling to the first-place team on Sunday.
On Saturday, May 2, 2026, Legends picked up a solid 2-1 victory over Butte United. It was an important result for the team as they continued their push near the top of the standings. Legends did enough on both sides of the ball to secure the win and add three valuable points.
The next day brought a much tougher challenge. Facing first-place South Tahoe SC on Sunday, Legends battled hard but came up short in a 5-2 loss. Despite the result, the match came against the league leaders and gave Legends another test against one of the strongest teams in the division.
With the split weekend, Legends remain in third place in the standings. More importantly, the team still has a strong chance to move up to second place before the Spring 2026 season comes to an end.
There are two games remaining on the schedule, and Legends will control a big part of their finish if they take care of business. Next up is Dixon Leon on May 12, followed by Sierra Surf on May 16. With strong performances in those final two matches, Legends have a real opportunity to climb the table and close the season on a high note.
