Legends 2014B-A suffered a tough 3-2 loss to Granite Bay SC on Saturday, May 2, 2026, after seeing a strong first-half performance slip away.
Legends came out with energy and confidence and built a 2-0 lead by halftime, putting themselves in a great position to earn their first victory of the season. The team played one of its best halves of the year and looked ready to finish the job at home.
But the second half turned in Granite Bay’s favor. Legends were unable to hold the lead, and Granite Bay scored three unanswered goals to complete the comeback. One of those goals came from the penalty spot, adding to the frustration of a match that had looked so promising at the break.
The result was a disappointing one for Legends, especially after being so close to that first win. Still, the first-half performance showed what the team is capable of when it plays with confidence and intensity.
Legends 2014B-A will now turn its focus to the Spring 2026 season finale against first-place Elk Grove Pre-MLS on Saturday, May 9, 2026. It will be another difficult test, but also one final chance for Legends to end the season with a strong performance.
