It was a very difficult weekend for the Legends 2015B-A team, which dropped two matches on back-to-back days against two very different opponents.

On Saturday, Legends faced first-place Elk Grove SC and came up short in a 6-4 loss. Despite the result, the performance showed plenty of fight. Elk Grove is a pre-MLS team, sits at the top of the standings, and has not lost a match all season, so staying competitive in a high-scoring game was no small task. Legends battled throughout the match and put four goals on one of the strongest teams in the league, which speaks to the team’s attacking ability and determination.

Sunday’s match, however, was a much more disappointing result. Legends fell 3-2 to Yuba Elite, the last-place team in the standings. Entering the match, Yuba Elite had not won a game all season, but Legends were unable to take care of business and ended up giving them their first victory of the year. That made the second loss of the weekend especially frustrating, as it was a missed opportunity for valuable points.

The two defeats dropped Legends to fifth place in the standings and made an already challenging weekend even tougher. Now the team will look to regroup quickly and finish the season on a stronger note.

Next up is the Spring 2026 season finale against fourth-place Davis Legacy in Davis. With the season coming to a close, Legends will have one more chance to respond and end the campaign with a strong performance.
