Legends SC’s U10 boys made club history on Saturday, November 7, claiming the NorCal State Cup for the first time in the club’s history with a thrilling 4–3 win over Silicon Valley’s Force SC.
Force came out strong, taking a 2–0 lead in the opening ten minutes. But Legends refused to be forced into a corner. They struck in the 16th minute to make it 2–1. Force added a third in the 24th, but our boys came roaring back just a minute later. At halftime, they had narrowed the score to 3–2.
In the second half, Legends kept up the pressure leveling the match in the 32nd minute. Then, in the 47th minute, they found the decisive goal to complete the comeback and secure a 4–3 win.
The victory brings the NorCal State Cup trophy home to Legends for the first time. Last year, the club’s U11 and U12 teams reached the finals. This year, the U10 boys finished the job.
Our boys did it. Legends are the best! After losing 2:0 they were able to take over the game and win 4:3. Lets go Legends! I want to thank all our Coaches who were helping and supporting our boys to get where they got so far. Without your help and support Coaches, this victory would not happen, - said coach Taras.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families. The boys lifted the most prestigious trophy in Northern California youth competitive soccer, and they did it loud and proud.
